Sunday Worship

Sunday Worship

Our primary role as members of God’s creation is to worship God in all things. Worship is our way of thanking God for the countless gifts of life… gifts like love, grace, nature, meaningful relationships, faith, and so much more. At WDMCC, we turn to scripture, the life of Jesus, prayer, music, and the Christian tradition to praise God through a variety of expressions and to grow as disciples of Christ. We share in Communion weekly as a celebration of Jesus’ saving work.

Sunday Morning Schedule:
9:00am — Sunday School
10:00am — Worship (both in-person and online)
11:00am — Fellowship in The Gathering

Current Series: Identity

“Who am I?” The field of Psychology has tried to answer this question for ages.  According to experts, our identity is made up of a unique combination of our relationships, values, experiences, memories, feelings, and thoughts that make us us. Our culture is very interested in the journey of discovering individual identity. Personality tests and dream assessments are available everywhere you look. It seems like everyone is searching for something to tell them who they are, where they belong, and how they relate to the world.

But the Bible has something different to say about who and why we are. The Bible says that all of us are created in God’s image and that humankind was created to reflect Christ’s attributes. You can look for your identity anywhere, but followers of Jesus are called to find their identity in Him. In this series, we’ll explore the identity markers each of us have as children of God and as co-heirs with Christ.

For the Kids

Kids ages K-5th grade are invited to attend Kids’ Worship in the Gym Building during the 10:00am worship hour.  We’ll all start worship together in the Sanctuary.  Following Children’s Sermon, kids who wish to participate in Kids’ Worship can then go to the Children’s Ministries building with our volunteers to enjoy VBS-like worship, music, and activities tailored to their age group.
